The Sydney Figure Skating Club wishes to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather for this event. We pay respect to Elders – past, present and emerging. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We also acknowledge and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people joining us for this event
Welcome to the Sydney Figure Skating Club’s 54th Hollins Trophy and the inaugural Hollins Trophy International 2023, to be held, due to our home rink’s temporary closure, at Erina Ice Arena, Erina, Australia, to be held between 9th and 12th June 2023.
With the advent of the inaugural Hollins Trophy International event this year, we look forward to welcoming international skaters from New Zealand, Armenia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and India, as well as those skaters closer to home in NSW and interstate. It’s a privilege to watch you compete, whether you are competing for the first time or for the tenth time.
Hollins Trophy International, will give the Australian skating community a wonderful opportunity to spectate and/or skate with elite international skaters – a rare opportunity indeed for our resident skaters.
In celebrating the achievement of all skaters competing at Hollins and Hollins International events, it is only appropriate to acknowledge the efforts of the coaches, families and friends in supporting these skaters. Thanks must be given as well to the volunteers whose tireless efforts have made hosting Hollins Trophy and Hollins Trophy International possible. Thanks too to NSWISA 2023 officials and SFSC Committee members.
A special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Erina Ice Arena for their continued support in assisting SFSC with staging this event whilst our own rink undergoes extensive repairs. We would also like to acknowledge and give thanks to all NSW/ACT rinks who have supported SFSC and its skaters whilst we await the refurbishment of our own rink. We look forward to welcoming the competition back to our home rink soon.
